Michael Burgis, Esq., is a knowledgeable, experienced, and aggressive trial attorney who focuses on obtaining maximum results for the injured. Mr. Burgis’s current focus is workers’ compensation and employment law, but his practice also includes handling personal injury cases.
A California native, Mr. Burgis earned a B.S. degree in Economics with a minor in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 2003. In 2008, Mr. Burgis earned a J.D. from Southwestern Law School and was admitted to the California Bar.
Mr. Burgis began his career working with Glauber Berenson, a well-known and respected worker’s compensation law firm. During his over five-year tenure at Glauber Berenson, Mr. Burgis quickly proved to be a top trial attorney at the firm, setting settlement and trial records. As the result of achieving phenomenal results for his clients, Mr. Burgis was named a Top Attorney in 2010 by Pasadena Magazine.
Mr. Burgis has obtained multiple seven-figure and 100% disability awards for his clients. Mr. Burgis has successfully argued hundreds of cases before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board. Mr. Burgis also had the rare and distinct honor of successfully arguing in front of the California Court of Appeals on a 100% permanent disability claim.

Although Mr. Burgis was offered partnership opportunities, he was determined to pursue his own practice where he could utilize his unique and effective approach to litigation. With his extensive knowledge of the law, coupled with innovative strategies, Mr. Burgis is dedicated to improving the lives of the injured and their families.
